ENSC is excited to begin a new school year. Online registration is open and we are encouraging you to get registered before July 16! Through a random drawing, two students registered by July 15 will receive free book fees!! Walk in registration is Thursday, July 16 from noon - 7 p.m. we can’t wait to have our students return!
East Noble School Corporation would like to hire a part time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
License required: • COTA, NBCOT, Indiana license
Contract days in the school year: 181 , Approximately 30 hours per week. Starting pay will be determined based upon experience.
Summary of Responsibilities:
• Participates in assessment of students in conjunction with an occupational therapist.
• Participates in the determination of therapeutic goals and objectives in conjunction with the occupational therapist.
• Participates in IEP conferences.
• Provides direct service to students.
• Consults with classroom teachers and assistants regarding student specific needs.
• Documents treatment provided through maintenance of written records.
• Participates in in-service training of staff in areas of need.
• Assists in determining students’ adaptive equipment needs.
• Attends scheduled therapy meetings and in-services.
• Meets with OTR as required by AOTA.
• Performs related work as required or assigned.

The following message was emailed to ENSC families on June 19. I am hearing that not all families received the message:
Hello ENSC Families
I would like to give you a brief update on reopening school this fall. As you know, Gov. Holcomb, Dr. McCormick (State Superintendent), and our State and Federal Senators, Representatives, and Congressmen have made it clear they want children to return to school this fall! You may have read in the newspapers or heard from friends plans that are being put into place in area school districts. With seven weeks before the start of school, ENSC continues to discuss and outline a variety of safety strategies to implement this fall; however, we are not ready to solidify our plans. Much can change, good or bad, between now and August 6!
Please understand, ENSC plans will be centered on the following:
• Engineered safety - hand sanitizer, barriers, distancing desks, shields, directional pathways in the halls, eliminating touch points, etc.
• Reduce gatherings - large diverse group events will be reduced or cancelled. As a start, our August 3 Open House is cancelled. Watch for an alternative.
• Educate - ensure we are all aware of the symptoms of COVID and how we can reduce the risk on contracting/spreading the virus.
• Prevention - eliminate anything that will pose a risk to the health of our students. This could include no visitors in buildings.
• Eliminate ill students and adults from school - Students and staff will be expected to stay home when ill.
The above is very simplistic at this time. Please be patient as we continue to develop our strategies to keep our students and staff safe! Also, please remember, we will provide a quality education to our students using learning strategies that fit the individual needs of students whether that is face to face or online.
Thank you for your support and trusting ENSC with educating your students. We miss them and only want the best for each and every student who walks through the doors of our buildings!

ENSC Congratulates East Noble Middle School teacher, Janelle Owens as our 2019-2020 District Teacher of the year. You are amazing Janelle and we are proud to say you are an East Noble School Corporation teacher.
Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Wells as the East Noble High School 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year. Jen Wells is a positive, supportive staff member of East Noble High School. Although Jen has only been a part of the East Noble High School family for a couple of years, she came to East Noble with a plethora of experiences that enabled her to jump right in and have an immediate positive impact.
Jen is an inspiring teacher who has established herself as a caring and invested teacher, especially with our ELL program and students. Jen has great ideas to help these students learn English, utilize the tools and resources available to them, and work with them individually when needed. Jen has also shared these tools and resources with other teachers to help the students in the classrooms. Jen provides teachers with websites, tips, and physical resources when possible. She truly cares about her student’s personal needs as well as their education. Jen not only expect the students to learn from her, but she is also interested in learning from her students, especially about their cultures. Jen also spends many hours working with her yearbook and publications students. You can find Jen with a camera in hand at most ENHS events. She can also tell you so much about every student she works with, not just about their academics but about their homes and families, their struggles, and who they are as people. One teacher commented that Jen’s “passion for her students shines through whenever she talks about them.”
Jen is a supportive parent, teacher, colleague, and friend. As a person, she is quick with a smile or joke, is kind and truly cares about the people she works with. We could not find a better representative of the English department or East Noble High School. We are proud of what Jen has been able to accomplish in her time with us here at East Noble High School and feel that she possesses the characteristics that make her worthy of the title, Teacher of the Year.
Janelle Owens’ is this year’s middle school teacher of the year. To me this is a very high honor, because the teacher of the year is nominated by their peers. We have some amazing teachers at the middle school, and I believe teachers picked a very deserving teacher to represent them as teacher of the year.
Janelle joined the middle school from South Side Elementary two years ago to help transition sixth grade to the new building. This transition went amazingly smooth with the help of the sixth grade team and Janelle was a leader amongst that team of teachers.
Janelle is a veteran teacher who has impacted Knight Nation greatly. She has honed her teaching craft to create an engaging, active, and loving classroom for her students. Nearly every day you could walk by Janelle’s room and hear her singing to her students, telling stories, or having her students act our lessons. In addition to being a strong educator in the classroom, Janelle has also stepped up to lead several clubs in the building including Yearbook and Sources of Strength.

Wayne Center is blessed with an amazing, hardworking, and positive school counselor. Her name is Molly Soberalski and she was selected by her peers as the 2020 Wayne Center Teacher of the Year.
Moly has worked hard to establish and implement a systematic and comprehensive school counseling program. She completes biweekly counseling lessons in all the classrooms. These lessons allow her to aid students in learning mindfulness, coping strategies, decision making and communication skills. She also gets to work with them on establishing positive peer relationships, exploring self-regulation and developing self-efficacy. Following the RTI/MTSS Model, she also works to reach tier 2 students with small groups and tier 3 students in individual counseling sessions.
Molly serves as a team member on the East Noble Autism Team and on the District Safety Team. She has received PBIS Rewards Training and ASCA Specialist Training for Grief and Loss. Molly has also attended the Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy, the ISCA Conference, Ross Greene Training, Trauma-Informed Schools Workshop and the Science of Happiness Course through the IDOE
Molly serves on the Visiting Nurse Board and is a licensed foster parent through the State of Indiana.
Molly has done an excellent job with promoting social-emotional growth and support for students, staff and our school community. Molly believes that social and emotional learning is important not only for our students to achieve in school, but throughout their lives and we must help them develop the skills necessary to be lifelong learners and successful in their careers and lives. She works hard to make sure that students gain self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making.
Wayne Center is blessed with a school counselor who believes, supports, and empowers our entire Wayne Center family!
South Side Elementary is proud to announce our 2019-20 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Ashley Strack. Ashley is a devoted third grade teacher that has been a part of the South Side staff for all five years of her teaching career. More importantly, Ashley is known as an adult that provides a lot of love for her profession and helping others. Mrs. Strack creates a classroom environment that is very student centered and collaborative. Students understand that she expects them to show their best effort in order to gain the most from their experience in school. She is always willing to be involved in student and school activities. Ashley is a student council coordinator, our PBIS teacher leader, and co-creator of last year’s corporation-wide third grade summer jump start camp. We would like to share a few peer comments about Ashley’s Teacher of the Year nomination:
“Ashley uses passion and dedication to help students be successful learners each and every day. She picks students up with current academics and helps make them excel by giving them tools they need to learn each day. Her compassion and love for every student regardless of their daily circumstances is amazing. She collaborates with students, parents, and other teachers to help each student be successful. Ashley is always up for a challenge whether it be with the newest technology of STEM, coding, or most innovative research ideas."
“I admire Ashley’s dedication and energy. She is articulate and poised and she provides a secure, forgiving, and structured environment for her students."
“She believes in all of her students and motivates them to learn. She expects high quality from all of her students. Ashley spends one on one time with those students that need extra assistance or a push. I know her students love being in her classroom. Ashley collaborates with (her teaching partner) to provide a high quality education that is fun."
Mrs. Strack is a great representative for us at South Side Elementary and we congratulate her on the honor of Teacher of the Year.
Rome City Elementary School Staff is proud to announce Meagan Zolman as Rome City Teacher of the Year. Meagan is known as one of the “go-to” people at Rome City. She is always willing to share ideas, help with technology and simply just step in if something is needed. This year when Meagan learned there would no longer be a STEM club, she stepped up and began leading the club. Meagan is extremely organized, always wanting to improve herself and always willing to take on more. Meagan builds great relationships with students, staff and families. Meagan is a tremendous asset to have at Rome City and we are glad she is a true Roman!
Congratulations Meagan for being nominated as Rome City Teacher of the Year.
