Last evening, South Side Elementary PTO hosted PTO Bingo Night! They had a great turnout of students and their family members as they enjoyed a night of bingo and fun. Tons of prizes were on display for any lucky winner, and the PTO members had a great selection of drinks, pizza and popcorn in their concession for people to enjoy. Great job South Side PTO members on giving the students and their families an awesome night!

This morning, East Noble Middle School FACS sewing class was working away on some amazing designs. The style of the design and pattern is called Cupcake Mix. They still have a couple days to work on their projects, but overall, they are all looking fantastic, and the students are feeling confident using the sewing machine.

Calling all book enthusiasts and new readers at East Noble High School! All this month, the library will be the host of "Blind Date with a Book". New books that are in the library will be available to you, but you do not know what genre, or title it is, hence the blind date part. On the package it is wrapped is a brief description of the hidden book, the genre, and a small sentence from the book. It is a great way for anyone to broaden their book horizon, and not to mention it is a cheap date because it is free! So, any student at the High School stop down at the library this whole month!

The East Noble High School Band Department hosted its second ISSMA Solo/Ensemble this past Saturday. The event doubled in size from last year to this year and we had many outstanding student and parent helpers who made it a great day. We also had many students participate in the contest who won silver and gold medals for their solos and ensembles!

East Noble High School held a Red-Carpet event in their library for their book loving enthusiastic students yesterday. The top readers in the school were invited down and were welcomed into the library with punch and cookies, and tables that were filled with new books for the 2023-2024 school year. This gave the loyal book readers a chance to prescreen and check out the new books before they were released to the whole school population. It was a big hit and the students loved checking out and previewing the new books that have hit the library!

Some Kindergarten students cashed in their Dojo coins today at South Side Elementary and got to enjoy some free time being creative with some Legos! Dojo coins are collected throughout the school year and students can trade them in for prizes. They acquire these points for being a good listener, being a good helper, and going above and beyond. It is great to see the students from all grade levels going out of their way to show what it takes to be an amazing person!

This afternoon, Carl Berglund, Ture Linden, and Associate Head Coach Olivier Legault of the Fort Wayne Komets stopped into Avilla Elementary School and spoke with the 4th and 5th graders! They talked to the students about the journey they have made to get where they are today, and the perseverance and challenges they faced. The students had loads of questions for them and enjoyed their time spent. Thank you to the Fort Wayne Komets for coming out today and speaking with the students!

They have punched their ticket to the state tournament in March at Lucas Oil Stadium! Additionally, we had four out of five robotic teams make the finals with teams placing 2nd, 7th, 10th, and our fifth team just edged out of the finals matches by just a few places.
