We had a very special guest take over as Principal for the Day at Avilla Elementary — State Representative David Abbott! Representative Abbott toured our school, stopped in classrooms, and spent time chatting with students and staff. It was such a great opportunity to show off all the awesome things happening here at Avilla.

Today was a special day at East Noble High School!
Kendallville Police Chief, and former High School SRO, John Dixon stepped into a new role as Principal for the day, walking the halls, connecting with students, and engaging with staff. It was a pleasure to welcome Chief Dixon and share this unique experience with him. Thank you for your leadership and presence!

SRO Officer Beall and his K-9 partner, Frodo, stopped by North Side Elementary this afternoon to talk with Kindergarten and 1st grade students about Halloween safety! They shared simple tips to help everyone enjoy a safe and spooky holiday, along with some fun demonstrations featuring Frodo. Officer Beall wrapped up the visit by reading one of his favorite Halloween books, and students loved getting to meet Frodo up close.




Starting today is Sources of Strength week, and students at East Noble Middle School started taking part in various activities pertaining to their health, both physically, mental health, and help spread positivity to one another. Students went to different booths where they engaged in an activity, and would receive a stamp for their passport, which in the end would result in a prize. Source of Strength week is a great way for the students to spread hope, help for one another, positivity, and strength to others who need it the most.

Last evening, the East Noble High School Marching Band and Color Guard thrilled the crowd with a spooktacular community performance! Their high-energy show, filled with hauntingly good music and dazzling routines, set the perfect tone for Halloween fun.
Right after the performance, families enjoyed a Trunk or Treat, making it a night full of music, costumes, and community spirit.

Today was Day 2 — the finale — for students from Mrs. Rogers’ Family & Consumer Science class and Mr. Vaught’s Social Studies class at East Noble Middle School!
Students teamed up to cook foods from different parts of the region, showcasing both their culinary and cultural knowledge. Once their dishes were complete, they set their tables, enjoyed their creations together, and finished by cleaning up the kitchen. It was a great hands-on experience that highlighted teamwork, responsibility, and collaboration!

Last evening, Wayne Center Elementary School hosted its Trunk-or-Treat! Students, parents, and staff had a fantastic time celebrating the spooky season together with creative costumes, fun decorations, and plenty of treats. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and decorated their trunks!

Friday evening was a spooktacular time at Rome City Elementary!
Students, parents, staff, and community members gathered for the annual Trunk or Treat, turning the school grounds into a fun and festive Halloween celebration. Families enjoyed walking from trunk to trunk, collecting candy, and sharing plenty of smiles and spooky fun.

This afternoon, the Top 50 Readers at East Noble High School were treated to a special event! These dedicated students received exclusive invitations to be the first to preview and check out the brand-new library books for 2025 at the red-carpet event.

It was day 3 today celebrating National School Lunch Week's "Taste the World", and all East Noble students and staff took a flavorful trip to West Africa! Avilla Elementary School students and staff got to try Chicken with West African Peanut Sauce, served with black beans and rice, bringing bold, comforting flavors to the lunch table.
The featured vegetable was Roasted Okra, perfectly seasoned and roasted to complement the dish.
It was another exciting day of exploring global cuisine right in the cafeteria.
