Sometimes the talents of our staff hide behind their professional abilities in the classroom with students. Ms. Spencer’s cupcakes rival any bakery in the land! She is incredible in the classroom and the kitchen. Thanks Ms. Spencer, for providing these professional grade cupcakes to help honor Mrs. Strack’s Teacher of the Year nomination. We were very proud of this guy this morning. He was proud of the recognition from his teacher and we are proud to call him a Trailblazer.
We are proud to announce that Mrs. Ashley Strack is our Teacher of the Year Nominee for South Side Elementary. Ashley is a third grade teacher. Her peers, students, and South Side parents appreciate how valuable she is to our school. We feel fortunate to work with Ashley. Congratulations!

South Side Parents, we will be holding our parent teacher conferences as originally scheduled this afternoon and evening. Please plan to attend if you have a conference time scheduled with your child's teacher.

Starting tomorrow we will be offering a Used Book Sale for our Trailblazers! There are many wonderful titles for our students to be able to purchase and take home! Magazines are $0.25 each and books are $0.50 each. Trailblazers will be able to look and purchase these books before school and during lunch recess. We will have it open during parent teacher conferences too. Right now we know we will have it open Thursday, Friday and Monday!

Friday was our PBIS carnival and many Trailblazers were excited to use our VEX robots!

Attention; please take a few moments to make sure your child has a pair of working head phones/ ear buds at school! With the testing windows just around the corner it is vitally important that each child have a working pair! The school bookstore does seal ear buds for $1.00 if they are easier to purchase that way! Contact your child’s Teacher if you are unsure or have questions!
