New ENHS athletic field

New Athletic Field Ready for Students!

East Noble community watched a talented crew install a new artificial turf venue for use by athletics and activities. This field is like those the Big10 schools use. In fact, the crew came from an installation at Ohio State University and was headed off to Ohio University after the field was completed.  Over 300 truckloads of dirt were removed to make room for the first part - an extensive drainage system! The system was filled in with a mixture of various sizes of stone which insures the drainage performs perfectly. Every square foot of the field has 9 lbs. of infill which is a mix of sand and rubber.  The old field had a crown of between 18 inches and 2 feet. This new field has a crown of 6 inches. It is regulation size for both football and soccer and the track goes around it.

The public is invited to the Abbs Memorial Scrimmage, Friday, August 6th at 7:00. After the scrimmage the general public will be invited down to the field to check it out!  Read more info about the scrimmage below!

Thanks to everyone involved in making this new field a reality for East Noble Students!
